He has scored these runs with a commendable average of 56.66 having two centuries and four half-centuries to his name. Notably, the young batter has also a chance to surpass Faf du Plessis in the race of orange cap as he has another match to play in the first qualifier for GT against the four-time champions Chennai Super Kings.

He ended his century drought in IPL from the last couple of years in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Later on, he amazed everyone with second consecutive century in the last league match against the defending champions Gujarat Titans. 

Kohli ended up the league stage as the third leading run-scorer in the current 16th edition of the Indian Premier League. The 34-year-old scored 639 runs in 14 innings of his all 14 appearances in the league stage with an excellent average of 53.25 having two centuries and six half-centuries with the wood.
