In 2001, Sri Lanka and West Indies played a Test series which was marked by Chaminda Vaas’ brilliance with the ball. He picked up 7 wickets in both innings and guided his team to a dominating victory. This is his second innings performance where he completely destroyed the West Indies batting order. 

West Indies were trying to overcome the huge lead and set a challenging target for Sri Lanka but Vaas did not let them succeed in their plan. His 7 wickets wrapped up West Indies’ innings for 262 which gave Sri Lanka an easy target to chase.

This is another bowling performance from the same match but this is the first innings’ bowling performance. Vaas scalped 7 wickets in the first innings as well which restricted West Indies to a score below 400. The left-arm fast bowler dismissed the likes of Brian Lara, who had already scored 221 runs, to stop the run-making spree of the West Indies.
