Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, when he came into international cricket in 2015, was one of the most talented youngsters. After scoring three back-to-back hundreds against West Indies, he came into the limelight. 1. 158 against England in 2021

In the third ODI against England, Pakistan entered the game with a trail of 0-2. The Asian side was looking to save their face and avoid whitewash. Meanwhile, batting first, the team had a slow start and were 130-odd runs in the first 30 overs. 

However, thanks to skipper Azam’s 158 in 139 balls including 14 fours and four sixes and helped the team reached 331/9 with Mohammad Rizwan scoring a fifty. However, thanks to Lewis Gregory (77) and James Vince’s maiden hundred, the home team, England won the game by three wickets.

2. 151 against Nepal in Asia Cup 2023

In the opening game of the Asia Cup this year, Pakistan played debutant, Nepal in Lahore. Despite playing an inexperienced side, the home side lost four wickets for 120-odd runs. Thanks to the skipper’s 151 and Iftikhar Ahmed’s maiden hundred, the team reached 342/6.

In reply, the Nepal side had no chance of winning the game. They were bowled out for 104 runs, losing the game by 238 runs.

3. 125 runs against West Indies in 2017

A few months ahead of their Champions Trophy 2017 win, Pakistan played against West Indies in the Caribbean Islands. In the second ODI between both teams, the Green Brigade batted first and amassed 282/5 with Babar Azam scoring a hundred. At the time, he wasn’t the captain of the team.

In reply, the home team was bowled out for 208 runs, losing the game by 74 runs. Hasan Ali took a fifer in the game.
