#1. 175* off 66 balls – Chris Gayle

The record for the highest individual score in IPL belongs to the ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle. He smashed an unbeaten 175 runs in the 2013 season of the IPL against Pune Warriors at the home ground of Royal Challengers Bangalore. It was a storm brewed by Gayle that completely destroyed the bowling unit of Pune Warriors. The West Indian did the unthinkable and it will be next to impossible for any other batter to break this record. 

#2. 973 runs in a season – Virat Kohli

The former India captain is one of the prominent faces of the league and he has become one based on his insanely consistent batting performances over the seasons. In the 2016 season, he scored 973 runs which is an unbelievable record to have. Kohli smashed four centuries in that season and guided his team to the final, but unfortunately could not cross the final hurdle. However, the individual performance from the RCB skipper was majestic and it would take an extraordinary effort to surpass this record. 

#3. 49 Runs – Royal Challengers Bangalore

Here is another record that is associated with Royal Challengers Bangalore and tough to break. However, this record is not something that RCB fans would rave about. In the 2017 season, Kolkata Knight Riders bowled RCB out for a low total of 49 runs. This is the lowest team total in the history of IPL and it seems it will remain the lowest for a long time. Bangalore was chasing 132 runs but Kolkata defended this target brilliantly. The star-studded RCB batting unit collapsed dramatically and lost the match by 82 runs.
