3 Reasons why Australia can win their 6th ODI World Cup this year

Australia will be hunting for their fifth World Cup title in India. The Australians have been a formidable force in India and have beaten the Men in Blue on their turf in ODI series previously. The Australians will be rearing to go after missing out in England in 2019. With their lineup looking very formidable, they will fancy their chances in 2023.

Australia beat India 2-1 just before the IPL. The Kangaroos will want to make a statement in Indian conditions. There would be some similarities to the pitches in Australia as the sub-continent wickets will be very good to bat on. With great batting depth and a good mix of experience and youth Australia will want to sound the bugle saying they mean business in 2023 World Cup.

Here are three reasons why Australia can get their fifth title in World Cups.

Strong middle order

The Australian middle order comprises of the likes of Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Marsh, Cameron Green and Alex Carey. These options can be match-winners on their day and they can turn games around single handedly. The likes of Marsh and Green can also double as part time pace bowling options. The likes of Steven Smith would like to score a truckload of runs in Indian conditions.
