Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have spent a solid amount of money during the mega auction 2024 to get a good set of players for the upcoming seasons. With the likes of Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Liam Livingstone and many others, RCB is looking all set for the IPL 2025.
There are players who will get a lot of time to spend on the field and help their team win the games with their efforts. However, there will be some players who might not get a chance to play in the tournament due to various reasons.
Here the three RCB players who can stay on bench during IPL 2025:
1. Swastik Chikara
The middle-order batter from Uttar Pradesh, Swastik Chikara is a talented batter who has good records in domestic tournaments. However, his chances of featuring this season seem to be in jeopardy due to players like Liam Livingstone and Tim David who are middle-order specialists. They will be chosen ahead of the Indian player for their experience in the tournament. Nevertheless, if RCB successfully qualifies for the playoffs, Chikara might get a place in the playing XI for a few league matches.
2. Swapnil Singh
RCB’s young all-rounder who won several matches for them in the previous season might have to warm the benches due to the presence of Krunal Pandya in the team. Pandya has had a good tournament with the LSG so far and RCB will definitely try him ahead of Swapnil for a few games. Pandya can bat and ball at the same time which is his strength. Hence, Swapnil might have to wait patiently for his chance to come.
3. Lungi Ngidi
With the presence of Josh Hazlewood, Lungi Ngidi might not get a chance to make his debut for RCB. Hazlewood is one of the best in the league while Ngidi hasn’t proved his worth yet. So if the Australian star bowler isn’t injured, he’ll be the first choice for the management.
