Nitish Reddy has played just 21 first-class games and scored 708 runs with one century and two fifties. His average of 21 is a huge cause of concern though. India’s veteran batter KL Rahul is on his third tour of Australia and it is a huge surprise his name was penciled in. The 32-year-old has been going through a bad patch of form which saw him being dropped for the Pune Test against New Zealand. There were reports that Cheteshwar Pujara could be considered after the 36-year-old scored a double ton for Saurashtra. KL Rahul will have to pull up his socks and start to score runs and help India in the middle order during their tour of Australia.
