3 players to watch out for from India’s squad for tour of South Africa

India and South Africa will cross paths once again after their epic T20 World Cup clash. Last year India had toured for 3 T20I matches along with 2 Test matches and 3 ODI games. The first game was washed out as South Africa won the second one and India came back to win the third and final game.

Suryakumar Yadav had batted well in the final game in Johannesburg and scored a century. This year the teams will play four games with the first match slated to be held in Durban on the 8th of November. The next match will be played on 10th with the final two games on 13th and 15th in Gqeberha, Centurion and Johannesburg.

Mayank Yadav, Shivam Dube, and Riyan Parag are missing from the team that is slated to play the four-match series. The trio are currently injured and this has opened the door for Ramandeep Singh, Yash Dayal, and Vijaykumar Vyshak to be called up for the series.

Here are the top 3 players to watch out for India during the South African T20I series:

1. Rinku Singh

India’s young talent, Rinku Singh has found form with the bat once more during the T20I series against Bangladesh. The 27-year-old will love to play in South Africa as the ball tends to come onto the bat pretty well.

Rinku Singh will also want to impress Kolkata Knight Riders team management just ahead of the IPL Auctions. The left-handed batter is a natural striker of the ball and considering some of the venues tend to have runs on offer, Rinku Singh will be a player to watch out for.

2. Sanju Samson

Fortunes seem to have changed for Sanju Samson in the last game as he scored a brilliant ton. His 40 ball century against Bangladesh was the second fastest by an Indian batter. The tour of South Africa will give the soon to be 30 year old a chance to prove why he deserves a longer run at the top of the batting order.

Sanju Samson needs to play in the same vein that he did during the final game in Hyderabad. With the extra bounce on the wicket and Samson’s natural ability to strike the ball, will make him a player to watch out for. Sanju Samson will also have special memories of South Africa as he scored his maiden ODI ton late last year.

3. Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav

India’s T20I skipper and the best batter in the format, Suryakumar Yadav has been one of the dangerous batter for the last three years. His ability to take the attack to any opposition and play shots all across the park makes him a difficult batter to bowl at. In the last T20I game in South Africa, the right-handed batter scored a ton and also helped India win the game.

Yadav will hope to do well again as he is now the full time skipper of the side. The 34-year-old has been short of runs in recent times but once he starts to fire then SKY cannot be stopped. This is why Indian T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav is a player to watch out for during the South African T20I series in November.
