His track record in South Africa is phenomenal and in the last test series that India played in South Africa, he was the highest wicket-taker with 20 wickets. Rabada would be keen to replicate that performance and clinch this crucial series for his team.
Jasprit Bumrah
In the absence of Mohammad Shami, the burden of expectations on Jasprit Bumrah will be even more but the seasoned Indian speedster knows how to live up to the expectations. South Africa’s batting lineup is one of their weak links and Bumrah would like to exploit that. Marco Jansen
Another prominent contender to become the highest wicket-taker in this series will be the left-handed fast bowler, Marco Jansen. Jansen made his test debut against India, the last time they had arrived in South Africa for a Test series, in 2021. He was the second-highest wicket-taker in that series, following Kagiso Rabada, with 19 wickets. He will pose a big challenge to the Indian batters in the upcoming series as well.
