The veteran English fast-bowler is in the last phase of his career but there are no signs of him slowing down. He is chasing the elusive 700-wicket club and he might achieve that figure in this series.

Anderson has done considerably well in Indian conditions as he has picked up 34 wickets in 13 matches at an average of 29.32. He has been very successful against Virat Kohli in particular and in this series, Anderson might create trouble for the star Indian batter.

Rehan Ahmed

The Indian team might get a surprise in this series as the English team has included the young leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed in the squad. Rehan was impressive when England toured Pakistan in 2022 and the youngster will be a threat factor for the Indian team. The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has struggled against the leg-spinners in the past and Rehan Ahmed can put him under pressure as Rohit has not faced the young leg-spinner before in international cricket.

Jack Leach

Jack Leach is the most experienced spinner in the English team. He will have a huge responsibility in this series to lead the English spin department. Leach played for the first time in India the last time England toured India and the left-arm spinner was impressive in that series.

He played 4 Test matches and picked up 18 wickets at an average of 28.72. The 32-year-old can give India a tough time in the upcoming series and the Indian batters will have to be cautious of this threat.
