Uday Saharan has been appointed as the captain of the Indian squad for the Under-19 World Cup. The Rajasthan-born batter has been impressive in the age group cricket and has scored runs to make it this far.

His recent exploits, which include a recent century against South Africa in the tri-series, have been encouraging. The young captain will have the responsibility to live up to the standards that the Indian contingent has set in the Under-19 World Cup over the years.

Adarsh Singh

Adarsh Singh, another Indian name in the list has set the stage on fire in the recently concluded tri-series that India was a part of. The 18-year-old left-handed batter amassed 230 runs in the tri-series which also included a century against the Afghanistan U19 team. Adarsh bats in the top order and generally opens the innings.

His role will be crucial and considering the number of talented top-order Indian batters who have risen to prominence after the Under-19 World Cup, all eyes will be on the youngster.

Shamyl Hussain is the opener of the Pakistan Under-19 team and the youngster has caught wide attention with his attractive batting performances. His recent scores have established him as one of the biggest hopes for Pakistan to win the Under-19 World Cup once again.

In October last year, he played a 150-run knock against the Sri Lanka under-19 and backed it up with a few other half-centuries. The team management would be hoping for him to lay a solid foundation for the team as an impeccable start is mandatory for an impressive outing.
