Zimbabwe beat Australia to make new history

The time is now for Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe gave birth to fairy tales on Australian soil. Since then, their respect for world cricket continues. Australia is already one of the most powerful cricket teams in the world. Again, if the cricket match is held in their home field, then who can stop them?

Unbelievable but it is true, that full power Australia was defeated by Zimbabwe at their home ground. In the third and last match of the ODI series, Regis Chakava’s team defeated Australia by 3 wickets. Zimbabwe made this possible for the first time. Since then, Team Zimbabwe has been praised.

Zimbabwe won the toss and fielded first to avoid a whitewash in Townsville. Thanks to Ryan Burl’s 5-wicket haul, they restricted the hosts to just 141 runs. The visitors overcame the target of 142 runs with 3 wickets in hand. And with that, a new history was written in Zimbabwean cricket.

Zimbabwe has tasted victory in an international match for the first time on their soil against Australia. Before this, despite playing 15 matches against Aussies, the visitors could not even compete properly, winning is unthinkable either. This is the first win. And that victory came by playing absolutely brilliant cricket.

Not only that, Zimbabwe saw victory after 21 years against any opponent on Australian soil. Meanwhile, Australia suffered a great loss losing this match. Their current position is number 7 with 90 points from 15 matches in the World Cup Super League. On the other hand, Zimbabwe got 10 points from this match.

That’s why cricket is called the glorious game of uncertainty!
