Bangladesh is among the best cricket playing countries in terms of financial development. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) earned about 237 crore 7 lakh 7 thousand 956 taka in the last financial year. Excluding all expenses, about 69 crores have been deposited in BCB’s account.
This was known after the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of BCB held at a hotel in Dhaka. In the fiscal year 2020-2021, BCB’s income was 237 crores 7 lakhs 7 thousand 956 taka. The expenditure has been 168 crore 21 lakh 65 thousand 263 taka. The deposit has been 68 crore 85 lakh 42 thousand 693 taka.
In the financial report at the AGM, BCB’s potential income for the financial year 2022-23 has been estimated at Tk 362 crore 66 lakh 25 thousand. And the possible cost is estimated at 284 crores 34 lakhs 79 thousand 541 taka. The profit amount is expected to be around 78 crore 31 lakh 45 thousand 459 takas in the coming year. Which is more than last financial year.
Currently BCB’s cash and bank deposit amount is 219 crores 78 lakhs 78 thousand 557 taka. The investment in FDR is about six hundred and fifty crore takas. In the last financial year, BCB received about 40 crore 91 lakh 76 thousand 283 taka from interest from FDR. Accumulated fund 901 crore 64 lakh 11 thousand 884 taka.
