Putting an end to all speculations, the curtain rises on the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The on-field and the off-field situation has turned into a frenzy amid cricket excitement. Now an interview with Quetta Gladiators owner Nadeem Omar surprised everyone. He talked about Sarfraz Ahmed and Babar Azam. These two cricketers wanted to play for Quetta under each other’s leadership. This is Nadeem’s claim.

In the interview, Nadeem claimed that he tried his best to get Babar to sign the agreement in Quetta. He said, “Both of them (Sarfaraz and Babar) are great personalities. Both wanted to play under each other’s leadership in our team. Their chemistry is also good individually. They respect each other. Since Babar is the national team captain, we wanted to take him into the group. “

But in the end, Quetta could not take Babar into the team. This star batsman is currently playing as the captain of Peshawar Zalmi. Nadeem feels that Peshawar also needs a good captain, even though he regrets not being able to get them into the team.

Quetta did not get the expected results in the last few seasons of PSL. The team’s owner also told the reason for not getting success this time. Nadeem feels that the cricketers could not perform at their best due to the injury problems of the players. Along with that, he is also slightly blaming the schedule of the game. According to him, the team’s captain’s inability to play independently also affected the results.

However, Nadeem is also trusting his team this season. He believes that Quetta will play well under the leadership of Sarfraz. In the interview, Nadeem said, “Our team is balanced enough in this tournament. The captain will also enter the field with confidence. Recently, he has been playing well in the national team jersey. Sarfraz will fight confidently with his team. Hopefully, we can give our best.”

It should be noted that Sarfraz has been playing as the captain of Quetta since the first season of PSL. He has a title as his success. In 2019, Quetta tasted PSL champion for the first time. After that, however, the team could not make any significant performance. After all the previous failures, Sarfraz’s team is desperate to win the second title.
