India and England tussled in the third ODI at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on February 12. After winning the toss, England invited India to bat first and sent skipper Rohit Sharma back to the pavilion inside the second over. Shubman Gill paired with Virat Kohli and stitched a 116-run stan for the second wicket. The right-handed batter had missed a deserving hundred in the second ODI but batted with grit in Ahmedabad.

He took on the English bowlers and smashed timely boundaries coupled with singles and doubles to build his innings. The young batter after spending the majority of the time in the middle looked cautious as he neared the triple-figure mark. He reached his century in the 32nd over and this was his seventh ODI hundred. Moreover, he this century also became his seventh at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
