After losing the first two T20Is of the series, South Africa batters put up a brilliant show in Durban, but a lacklustre performance from their bowlers cost them the final match as well. Batting first, the Aiden Markram-led side hit 190 runs courtesy of an all-round effort. Reeza Hendricks gave a perfect start, hitting 42 runs off 30 deliveries, while Markram (41 runs off 23 deliveries) and Donovon Ferreira (48 runs off 21 deliveries) put on a good show in the middle.

With the ball, ace pacer Sean Abbott picked up four wickets, and that will definitely boost his confidence. Marcus Stoinis leaked runs but the all-rounder also picked up two wickets. On the other hand, Nathan Ellis leaked 50 runs in four overs, while Tanveer Sangha picked up one wicket, giving away 39 runs in four overs.

When it came to the chase, Travis Head once again proved to be the showstopper. He is known for his aggressive batting, and in the third T20I, he played to his merit and hit 91 runs off 48 deliveries to help Australia chase the total with absolute ease. Mitchell Marsh, who was in terrific form in the opening two matches of the series, failed to make it count, but batting at number four, Josh Inglis wreaked havoc.

The stumper-batter hit 42 runs off 22 deliveries and changed the complexion of the game. However, Australia still had much to do when he returned to the pavilion. Marcus Stoinis meanwhile took over the responsibility and hit 37* runs off 21 deliveries to help Australia clean-sweep South Africa in their own den. The visiting team celebrated in style after a remarkable series victory but will now focus on the ODI series, which holds massive value, as the ODI World Cup is just knocking on the door. Notably, the five-match series will begin on September 7, and a lot of Aussie senior cricketers will be making their return.
