Youngster Harry Brook became the sixth England cricketer to smash a triple century in Test cricket history. On a flat track in Multan, he played an aggressive knock and reached the milestone in 310 balls, becoming the second-fastest cricketer to score a triple ton. Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag scored a triple century in 278 balls, which is still the fastest in Test cricket history.
Brook came out to bat when England were 249/3 and since then, he stitched a gigantic 454-run partnership with Joe Root. That put Pakistan on the backfoot and their bowlers looked clueless on what exactly would work on such a surface. The track was a paradise for the batters to succeed and Brook took complete advantage of it.
He dealt in boundaries, hitting 29 fours and three sixes during his marathon knock of 317. The cricketer looked like in no mood to stop but a top edge while sweeping a Saim Ayub delivery brought an end to his innings. Brook’s knock is good enough to help him earn the title of ‘New Sultan of Multan’.

Meanwhile, England’s Bazball approach played a heavy part in him scoring a triple ton in such a quick time. Before the ongoing Test, he played 18 red-ball matches for England and scored 1558 runs at an average of 53.72. He has been terrific for the national team as far as Test cricket is concerned but is yet to prove himself in India and Australia.
England meanwhile have the opportunity to register the most runs by a team in Test cricket history. Sri Lanka currently hold the record with 952 runs, which they scored against India in 1997.

The thing with Harry Brook’s knock is not just that he made 300 but he is doing it at a strike rate of 97…. which will only go up now,the longer he bats.
