India Women took on Ireland Women in the third ODI at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on January 15. After winning the toss and opting to bat first, India openers, Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal were all over the Ireland players. After starting cautiously, the occasional boundaries turned into a usual affair and at the end of powerplay, the scorecard read 90/0.
Both the players continued their onslaught, thrashing both pacers and the spinners. Meanwhile, Mandhana brought up a century and she was dismissed on 135 runs. It was the fastest ton by any Indian batter in women’s cricket. She scored 135 runs in just 80 balls, laced with 12 boundaries and seven towering maximums, with an attacking strike rate of 168.75.
Pratika continued fetching runs through boundaries and was joined by Richa Ghosh in the middle. Pratika got to her maiden international Ton and also registered most runs (both men and women) after first six innings in ODIs. The duo added 104 runs for the second wicket, before Ghosh departed, scoring 59 runs. After adding 50 runs for the third wicket with Tejal Hasabnis, Pratika was claimed by Freya Sargent, caught by Georgina Dempsey.
Pratika scored 154 runs off just 129 deliveries, with the help of 20 boundaries and one maximum. Thereafter, India crossed the 400-run mark for the first time in ODIs and also became only the third team after Australia and New Zealand to do so. Hasabnis departed, scoring 28 runs and Harleen Deol played a small cameo of 15 runs.

Indian women score a massive 435 in the final ODI against Ireland. But it is only d 4th highest ODI Score in Women’s Crkt. Just to put the stats in perspective, 4 of the top 5 ODI Scores have been scored against Ireland. So it tells a little about Irish bowling attack.#indvsire
