In the ongoing Indian Premier League 2025 mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 2022 champions Gujarat Titans (GT) have secured the services of Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj for a whopping INR 12.25 crore. With this acquisition, Siraj ends his seven-season stint with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
The bidding war for Siraj, who set his base price at INR 2 crore, saw active participation from multiple franchises including Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Despite RCB holding the Right to Match (RTM) card, they chose not to exercise this option for their former speedster, allowing Gujarat Titans to secure the deal.
Starting his IPL career with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2017, he became a sensation during his tenure with RCB, where he emerged as one of their most reliable bowlers. His impressive record of 83 wickets in 87 games for RCB makes him their third-highest wicket-taker. The 29-year-old pacer, currently representing India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, has made himself one of cricket’s premier fast bowlers across all formats.

Ahead of this acquisition, GT had purchased South African pace sensation Kagiso Rabada for INR 10.75 crore. With Siraj and Rabada now being added to the roaster the side is hinting at building a formidable pace attack for the upcoming season. With these two purchases, the Titans’ purse now stands at INR 30.25 crore.
