South Africa hoped for a big score after losing six wickets on Day 1 with 140 runs. They commenced Day 2 with 34 runs lead and wicketkeeper-batter Kyle Verreynne helped their cause with a scintillating century. The right-handed batter stitched a 119-run stand for the seventh wicket with Wiaan Mulder and South Africa crossed the 200-run mark.

While Mulder walked back scoring 54 off 112, Keshav Maharaj was cleaned up by Hasan Mahmud on the first ball he faced. Kyle then found an able supporter in the form of Dane Piedt. The duo put in a 66-run stand for the ninth wicket as the visitors inched towards the 300-run mark. Piedt played a remarkable cameo coming down the order and scored 32 off 87 runs.

South Africa’s dominance continues vs BD with Verreynne’s ton, leading by 202. Rabada’s early strikes & Mulder’s tight bowling leave BD struggling at 19 for 2. Bangladesh need a miracle to turn this around. #BANvSA #TestCricket
