The Emirates League is showing lure of money to Warner-Smiths

Australian cricketers are interested in the United Arab Emirates T20 League (ILT20) after leaving their country’s league Big Bash. Aussies are walking that way mainly because of their greed for money. The league’s franchise owners have even offered a hefty sum of money to 15 stars. Such claims the Australian media.

The Big Bash is starting on December 13; on the other hand, ILT20 will begin on January 6, 2023. As the two tournaments are scheduled around the same time, Aussies will not have the opportunity to play in the Big Bash if they play at the Emirates. But there are rumours that most cricketers, including David Warner-Smith, are willing to play at the Emirates.

According to an Australian media report, 15 cricketers have been offered to pay 7 lakh Australian dollars (Rs 3.83 crore in Indian currency) to leave the Big Bash and play in the Emirates. No Australian cricketer is bound to play in the Big Bash as per the central agreement.

So far, Darcy Short has received the highest remuneration of 2 lakh 58 thousand Australian dollars in Big Bash. Aussie cricketers get more money than this in the IPL. The franchise owners of the IPL own the teams in the Emirates league. So many people think the amount of money should be increased to retain cricketers in the Big Bash.
