Taskin will not play for the rest of the BPL due to injury

Taskin Ahmed played for Dhaka Dominators in the ninth season of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). He has kept the rhythm of the national team in this domestic T20 league as well. But in spite of the good rhythm, fate caught him once again. The star pacer got injured at the end of BPL.Taskin is unable to play in the rest of the tournament due to this injury.

Taskin last played for Dhaka on January 30, in a match against Rangpur Riders. He injured his hamstring in that match played on Sylhet ground. Since then the Dhaka pacer could not enter the field. Now it is known that even bigger bad news, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is not willing to play him in the rest of the tournament. Basically, the board took such a decision to avoid the risk of major injury.

Bangladesh will play an important series against England in March. Three ODIs and T20Is against the English at home. Where the ODI series is included in the ICC ODI Super League. That’s why BCB is taking precautions to get one of the best bowlers in the pace bowling department. Being fit for the national team is more important for Taskin than playing in the BPL.

Taskin has been asked to rest for the time being by the BCB. In this regard, BCB doctor Debashish Chowdhury said, “Taskin will not play in the final matches of BPL. We have asked him to rest. His game will not be right at the moment. Although this hamstring injury is not too serious. But we do not want to take any risk. He will be back in a few days.” Will return to practice. Can play in the England series too.”
