Surpassing Irfan Pathan, Ravindra Jadeja set new record

World cricket superpower India is in a familiar rhythm in the Asia Cup. Rohit Sharma’s team defeated Pakistan in the first match and Hong Kong in the second match. Ravindra Jadeja helped India reach victory by partnering with Hardik Pandya in the match against Pakistan. However, his Asia Cup ended due to a knee injury. India’s star all-rounder is in the headlines for a new feat despite being sidelined by injury.

India’s bowling department did not perform according to expectations against Hong Kong. But Jadeja set a new precedent in that match. He is now India’s most successful bowler in the Asia Cup, surpassing former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan.

So far, Pathan was India’s highest wicket-taker in the Asia Cup with 22 wickets. In the match against Hong Kong in the Asia Cup, Jadeja took the 23rd wicket of his career. And in this, Jadeja entered the record book. He topped Pathan with 23 wickets.

Sri Lankan bowler Muralidharan is on the first place in the list of bowlers who have taken the highest wickets in the Asia Cup with 30 wickets. Lasith Malinga is second with 29 wickets. Next is Ajanta Mendis. He took 26 wickets. Pakistan’s Saeed Ajmal is fourth with 25 wickets and India’s Ravindra Jadeja is fifth with 23 wickets.

Meanwhile, the rehabilitation process of injured Ravindra Jadeja has been started. This year’s T20 World Cup is going to be held in Australia in October. This all-rounder is obviously included in Team India’s plans. It is believed that he will recover and join the team before the World Cup.
