Shane Watson’s T20 Top Five List

The eighth edition of the T20 World Cup will be held in Australia in October. Who will shine on the stage of the World Cup? Shane Watson was present at an ICC function recently. There, the former Australian all-rounder named the five best cricketers in the world in T20 cricket.

1. Babar Azam: Babar Azam, Pakistan’s captain is at the top of Watson’s list despite not being in form in the Asia Cup. Watson said, “First of all I would pick Babar Azam. He is the number one T20 batsman in the world at the moment. He knows how to make an impact. He can play against the best bowlers in the world at incredible pace.”

2. Suryakumar Yadav: After the AB de Villiers era, Suryakumar Yadav is called a 360 degree cricketer. This Indian batsman is second to Watson. According to Watson, “Surya batted unbelievably.”

3. David Warner: Watson’s third choice is David Warner. He said, “Warner has been the best player in the last World Cup, winning the World Cup for Australia. Can create a spark at home.”

4. Jos Buttler: This star cricketer of England is one of the best batsmen in T20. Watson finds it difficult to get Buttler out if he remains in rhythm. He said, “Buttler has scored four centuries in IPL this time. When he is in rhythm, it becomes impossible to bowl him out. He also knows the conditions in Australia very well.”

5. Shaheen Shah Afridi: Shaheen Afridi is not featured in the Asia Cup due to injury. However, it is believed that he will recover before the World Cup and return to the team.
