Shakib AL Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman likely to get NOC for IPL 2021 UAE Leg

After postponed England’s tour to Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman are now able to receive their respective NOCs. With the T20 World Cup just on the corner, the BCB has indicated an interest in sending their players to compete in the remaining IPL season. This is excellent news for their respective franchises, the Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals, respectively.

The BCB had previously denied the two cricketers NOCs, claiming they would require them for international obligations. With the England tour now postponed, the two players will have plenty of match practice in the UAE leg, which will also host the T20 World Cup.

As a result, the path for playing in IPL 2021 is now open for Shakib-Mustafiz. Akram Khan, chairman of the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s cricket operations committee, said if Shakib and Mustafiz want, they will be given a no-objection letter to play in the IPL 2021.

Bangladesh Cricket Board Chairman Akram Khan has declared that if the two players do not have any international commitments, they will be granted NOC. He also said that he has not received any official correspondence regarding the international commitment and that he is unlikely to make a decision based on it. Bangladesh has named Shakib and Mustafizur in their team for the five-match T20I series against Australia at home.

The 14th edition of the IPL is going to recommence soon. Stay with Baji for more IPL UAE leg updates!
