SCO vs ZIM (Match 12) – Highlights
Scotland and Zimbabwe met in the 12th match of the T20 World Cup on Friday. Batting first in that match, Scotland set a low score target. Chasing that target, Zimbabwe reached the target before the allotted 20 overs were over. As a result, Scotland had to leave the field with a loss. Also, Sikandar Raza won the man of the match title by batting and bowling well for Zimbabwe.
The final group stage match in the T20 World Cup is another knockout battle. The team that wins will enter the Super Twelve. If you lose, the World Cup is over.
In such a match, Scotland could not capitalize. Despite George Munshi’s half-century, their innings stopped at 132 runs for 6 wickets. In other words, Zimbabwe needed only 133 runs to enter the Super Twelve.
Scotland captain Richie Berrington won the toss and elected to bat first at Hobart’s Bellerive Oval. The Zimbabwean bowlers kept the Scots under pressure from the start.
