Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has clinched a four-wicket victory with 5 balls in hand over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 13th match of IPL 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday courtesy of Dinesh Karthik’s stormy batting. After losing the toss and being sent to bat first, RR scored 169 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
RR’s opener Jos Buttler top-scored with 70 off 47 balls remaining not out, he smashed 6 sixes to play this innings. Devdutt Padikkal scored 37 off 29 balls and Shimron Hetmyer was unbeaten on 42 off 31 balls. Harshal Patel, David Willey, and Wanindu Hasaranga took one wicket each for RCB.
RCB openers Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat added 55 runs in the opening pair as they chased down a challenging target of 170 runs. Du Plessis made 29 off 20 balls before being dismissed in the seventh over. Another opener Anuj scored 26 runs off 25 balls.
RCB was in danger when Virat Kohli (5), David Willey (0), and Sherfane Rutherford (5) returned to the dressing room cheaply. From there, Shahbaz Ahmed and Dinesh Karthik added 67 runs for the sixth wicket in 5.2 overs. Shahbaz, who just missed his fifty for a small distance, was dismissed for 4 fours and 3 sixes scoring 45 off 26 balls.
Although Shahbaz returned, experienced star batsman Karthik left the field after winning the match for his team. He played an unbeaten inning of 44 off 23 balls with 7 fours and 1 six, ensuring the victory of the team in the last over of the innings. This wicketkeeper batter has become the Player of the Match for his impeccable batting. Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult took the maximum number of 2 wickets each for RR.
After winning this match, RCB is in the 6th position in the points table. On the other hand, after losing, RR still holds the top spot in the points table.

PAK vs AUS (Only T20I)
After 24 years, the Australian cricket team has gone to play a complete series in Pakistan. Despite losing the ODI series, the Aussies have proved their superiority in the Test and T20I series. Australia won the only T20I match of the series by 3 wickets with 5 balls to spare against Pakistan at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday night.
After losing the toss and getting to bat first, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan put on 67-run in the opening partnership. After the departure of Rizwan (23), Pakistan started losing wickets at regular intervals. In the end, the hosts lost 8 wickets in 20 overs and collected 162 runs. Babar played an innings of 66 runs from 46 balls. Besides, Khushdil Shah scored 24, and Usman Qadir was unbeaten on 18 runs.
For Australia, Nathan Ellis took the maximum number of 4 wickets for 28 runs in 4 overs. Besides, Cameron Green took 2 wickets. Adam Zampa and Sean Abbott snapped up 1 wicket each.
