Reasons behind the breakup of Sourav Ganguly – Nagma? 

Actress-turned-politician Nagma’s glamor is a matter of practice from the screen to politics. Even today the hearts of crores of people beat with her beauty. Nagma started her film career with ‘Baaghi’, starring actor Salman Khan in the lead role. Nagma, better known for her love affair with Calcutta maharaj and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly than for her acting in films. 

In the early 2000s, the news of actress Nagma’s relationship with Sourav, the then captain of Team India, heated up the discussion market. Nagma said in an interview, “Though neither of us admitted to each other in front of the media, everyone knew it”. 

According to Nagma, Sourav met Nagma during the 1999 World Cup and fell in love with the actress in early 2000. Their love blossomed in 2001 and both were involved in a serious relationship at that time. But they kept their relationship secret and never revealed their love in front of the media.

At the time of this incident, Sourav was married and was also the captain of the Indian cricket team. Rumors spread that they had secretly married in a temple in Andhra Pradesh. However, they denied the marriage. It is to be noted that in 1997, going against the family, Sourav Gangopadhyay married his childhood friend and partner Donna. 

But why did Sourav Nagma’s love breakup? 

Actress Nagma spoke openly about her breakup with Sourav in an interview. Nagma said, “No one could say anything, but no one denied anything either. 

Nagma also said, “Career was at risk. So it’s different. Instead of pride and insistence on being with each other, a person has to think about many things. Sometimes small things have to be sacrificed for big things”. Sourav, however, is yet to open his mouth about Nagma’s interview.
