Quetta Gladiators’ Nawaz is rhythmless in PSL

Quetta Gladiators are not in a good position so far in this season of Pakistan Super League (PSL). The team, which started the tournament with a loss, has seen a win once. They have lost three out of four matches. At the same time Mohammad Nawaz is also not in the rhythm. This all-rounder is not found in the performance of the field where he is supposed to appear as a savior in the difficult times of the team.

Nawaz has played four matches in this tournament so far. He got a chance to bat in all of them. Sometimes he is batting in the middle order and sometimes in the lower middle order. But Nawaz is not seeing success in any way. He scored a total of 21 runs in four matches. Where this aggressive batsman could not even go into double digits in three matches.

Nawaz’s form with the bat is also suffering Quetta Gladiators. His team is not winning either. They are losing one match after another. This all-rounder has become completely ineffective with the ball. He has bagged only three wickets in four matches. Despite going wicketless in the first match, the team has faith in him. But Nawaz managed to pick up one wicket each from the next three matches.

However, Nawaz expressed his confidence before the start of the tournament. He even commented that he entered the field with the aim of making Quetta the champion. In that interview, Nawaz said, “I am confident enough. I want to do well in this tournament. I want to contribute to the team. With experienced and young cricketers, our team is quite strong. I am also looking forward to giving my best.” But the reality is that he is not in form.

But though Nawaz is not in form in PSL, Quetta captain Sarfraz Ahmed is not too worried about him. He is optimistic about playing well after consecutive losses. As there are still many matches left in the group stage, it will be good for the team if Nawaz returns to form before then. This all-rounder is able to bring success to the team by performing with bat and ball. Quetta Gladiators fans are waiting for Nawaz to shine in 22 yards of the field. Can Nawaz do? The answer will be given in time.
