Pakistan cricket team has been subjected to severe criticism in recent times. The former cricketers of the country have always criticized Babar Azam’s team for the loss in the final of the Asia Cup, the T20 series loss against England at home or losing to teams like Zimbabwe in the T20 World Cup. This time Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken actions against them.
First of all, a legal notice has been sent to the former wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal. A source close to him told Pakistani media that a notice has been sent to Kamran by the PCB’s legal department. However, it is not known what the complaint is. According to sources, PCB president Ramiz Raja felt that Kamran’s statement was false and offensive.
Meanwhile, not only Kamran, PCB will give notice to some others. This is what the Pakistani media said. An anonymous board official told Pakistani media, “Many people have crossed the line. They have criticized the team, the board and the officials. The PCB will not tolerate this in any way. Everyone will be given a notice.”
Stars like Shoaib Akhtar, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Amir are among the cricketers who have criticized the Pakistan team that finally played the final in the last T20 World Cup. Those who suggested to take away Babar’s captaincy to Ramiz’s presidency, did not give up on criticism. So, this time the PCB went to the action.
