PAK vs ENG (Final) – Highlights

Pakistan(PAK) and England(ENG) faced off in the final match of the T20 World Cup on Sunday in a battle to clinch the World Cup. Batting first in that match, Pakistan made a fighting capital by facing the great bowling of England bowlers. But chasing that goal, England reached the goal before the scheduled 20 overs ended and won the World Cup for the 2nd time. Along with those who were not supposed to reach the finals, Pakistan won all the last matches and reached the finals, and finally left the World Cup with a loss. Besides, Sam Curran won the man of the match and series title by bowling great for England.

The collection is not big. England lost some of its initial momenta while keeping Pakistan under strain, but they later picked up wickets. Pakistan’s capital did not increase as expected. Babar Azam’s team stopped at 137 runs for 8 wickets. In other words, England needed 138 to become T20 world champions.

At the Melbourne Cricket Ground, England captain Jos Buttler invited Pakistan to bat after prevailing in the toss. Batting first, Pakistan’s two openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan started well.

In the fifth over, the team broke the pair after 29 runs. Rizwan was bowled (14 off 15) while playing the ball off Sam Curran. By taking 11 wickets during the competition, Curran set a new record for most wickets taken in a T20 World Cup.

When Mohammad Haris first approached the wicket, he did not immediately feel at ease. He tried to bat well but was defeated several times. In the eighth over, English captain Jos Buttler introduced Adil Rashid to the bowling attack. Then Haris was caught in the first ball and scored only 8 runs from 12 balls.

But Babar Azam was playing with responsibility. The Pakistani captain, who had been on the field since the game’s beginning, and Shan Masood created a third-wicket partnership of 39 runs from 24 balls. Adil Rashid also returned this Babar. The skipper of Pakistan scored 32 runs off of 28 balls, including two boundaries. Iftikhar Ahmed then placed the squad in danger by scoring zero points on six balls. For 85 runs, Pakistan lost 4 wickets.

From there, Shan Masood made another pair. With Shadab Khan, he added 36 runs off of 25 balls. Masood was returned in the 13th over by Sam Curran. His innings of 38 run off 28 balls had 2 fours and 1 six. Shadab Khan returned to the dressing room for 20 runs off 13 balls. As none of the recognized batsmen could play big innings, Pakistan’s capital did not increase in the end.

The most successful bowler in England is Sam Curran. With 12 runs, this pacer captured 3 wickets. Chris Jordan and Adil Rashid each claimed two wickets.

The target was 138 runs. However, Stokes was ultimately responsible for leading England to victory with one over remaining. England defeated Pakistan by five wickets to capture the T20 World Cup for the second time.

First, Alex Hales left the field with only 1 run from 2 balls. Philip Salt scored 10 runs off 9 balls with the help of 2 fours. Then Jos Buttler scored 26 runs off 17 balls with the help of 3 fours and 1 six. Then Brooks and Ben Stokes put on a partnership of 39 runs, but it was very slow. In the thirteenth over, Brooks was caught by Shadab Khan at long off. He scored 20 runs off 23 balls. Moeen Ali scored 19 runs off 13 balls with 3 fours. In the end, Stokes remained unbeaten on 51 runs off 49 balls with 1 six and 5 boundaries.

Haris Rauf took 2 wickets for Pakistan. Besides, Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan, and Mohammad Wasim Jr took 1 wicket each.
