NEP vs UAE (2nd ODI) – Highlights

Nepal and UAE faced each other in the 2nd of three ODIs at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, Nepal on Wednesday. In that match, United Arab Emirates made a good target by going to bat first. To chase the goal of bringing back the parity in the series Nepal reached the target before the allotted 50 overs ended with great batting. As a result, the United Arab Emirates had to leave the field with a loss. On the other hand, Nepal brought back parity in the series by winning the first match. Besides, Gulsan Jha won the man of the match title due to his good bowling and batting for Nepal.

UAE won the toss and chose to bat first and sent Nepal to bowl. Batting first, like in the previous match, the two openers Vriitya Aravind and Muhammad Waseem started well. They made a pair of 72 runs in 11.5 overs. Dipendra Singh broke this pair of them. In the 12th over, Vriitya Aravind left the field after being caught out by Dipendra Singh. He scored 25 runs off 39 balls with 4 fours before leaving the field. Then Muhammad Waseem left the field. He left the field after being caught out and after the team scored 80 runs. He scored 50 runs off 46 balls with the help of 3 fours and 4 sixes.

Then the wicket of Rohan Mustafa fell after 10 runs. He scored only four runs in 9 balls before leaving the field. Captain Chundangapoyil Rizwan played very well in this match even though he could not score in the last match. He scored 22 runs from 34 balls with the help of 2 fours. After 10 overs, Vishnu Sukumaran returned to the dressing room, he scored 15 runs off 39 balls with the help of 1 four. Alishan Sharafu scored 35 runs off 43 balls. He had 3 fours in his innings of 35 runs. The man of the match of the previous match, Ayan Afzal Khan, left for the dressing room after scoring only 2 runs off 8 balls. Basil Hameed was bowled out in the 42nd over. He scored 24 runs off 26 balls with the help of 1 four and 2 sixes. Besides, Zahoor Khan scored a golden duck. Sabir Ali scored 7 runs off 6 balls and Hazrat Bilal remained unbeaten at 1 run. In the end, they scored 191 runs in 43.2 overs with 6 runs extra.

Sompal Kami and Lalit Rajvanshi took 3 wickets each for Nepal. Besides, Kushal bhurtel, Karan KC, Gulsan Jha, and Dipendra Singh took 1 wicket each.

Batting for a target of 192 runs, Nepal lost 7 wickets and reached the port of victory with 13 balls in hand. Gulsan Jha scored the most runs for them. He was caught out by Rohan Mustafa and returned to the dressing room. He scored 37 runs off 49 balls with the help of 4 fours and 1 six before getting out. Kushal Bhurtel scored 35 runs off 52 balls with the help of 6 fours. Aarif Sheikh scored 33 runs off 58 balls. He also hit 3 fours. Gyanendra Malla scored 26 runs from 59 balls with the help of 4 fours. Sompal scored 16 runs off 16 balls. Dipendra Singh scored 13 runs off 20 balls. Besides, Arjun Saud scored 0, Aasif Sheikh 6, and Rohit Paudel scored 8 runs. In the end, they scored 193 runs with 19 extra runs. Rohan Mustafa took 3 wickets for UAE. Hazrat Bilal took 2 wickets. Besides, Basil Hameed took 1 wicket.
