NEP vs UAE (3rd ODI) – Highlights
Nepal and UAE faced each other in the 3rd of three ODIs at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, Nepal on Friday. In the fight to win the series, United Arab Emirates made a good target by batting first in that match. But Nepal reached the target with about 10 overs in hand before the scheduled 50 overs ended with excellent batting to chase the goal of taking the series. As a result, the United Arab Emirates had to leave the field with a loss in the series. On the other hand, Nepal won this match and took the series away. Besides, Aasif Sheikh won the Man of the Match award for Nepal due to his excellent batting.
Nepal won the toss, chose to bowl first, and sent UAE to bat. Batting first, the two openers Vriitya Aravind and Muhammad Waseem could not start well like the previous two matches. Muhammad Waseem left the field after being caught out and playing 8 balls only for 11 runs. Another opener Vriitya Aravind hit a golden duck. Although he was on the field for some time in the previous match, Captain Chundangapoyil Rizwan left the field after scoring 4 runs from 5 balls. Batting for a target of 177 runs, Nepal lost only 4 wickets and reached the port of victory in 40.1 overs. In the 2nd innings, Arjun Saud left the field first, he scored only 9 runs from 33 balls. After that, they did not get any more wickets until the team scored 146 runs. Because Gyanendra Malla and Aasif Sheikh brought the team’s run so far. Their partnership was broken in the 34th over.
