Nepal and UAE faced each other in the 3rd of three ODIs at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, Nepal on Friday. In the fight to win the series, United Arab Emirates made a good target by batting first in that match. But Nepal reached the target with about 10 overs in hand before the scheduled 50 overs ended with excellent batting to chase the goal of taking the series. As a result, the United Arab Emirates had to leave the field with a loss in the series. On the other hand, Nepal won this match and took the series away. Besides, Aasif Sheikh won the Man of the Match award for Nepal due to his excellent batting.

Nepal won the toss, chose to bowl first, and sent UAE to bat. Batting first, the two openers Vriitya Aravind and Muhammad Waseem could not start well like the previous two matches. Muhammad Waseem left the field after being caught out and playing 8 balls only for 11 runs. Another opener Vriitya Aravind hit a golden duck. Although he was on the field for some time in the previous match, Captain Chundangapoyil Rizwan left the field after scoring 4 runs from 5 balls. After 3 wickets fell for 16 runs, the United Arab Emirates came under pressure. Then Rohan Mustafa and Alishan Sharafu came to the field and handled the game. Rohan Mustafa scored 24 runs off 56 balls with the help of 2 fours. Alishan Sharafu scored 33 runs off 69 balls, along with 4 fours.

2 wickets fell between 3 balls and between the 29th and 30th over. Vishnu Sukumaran was caught out with 2 runs off 8 balls and Basil Hameed scored 8 runs off 23 balls. Then the same thing happened between the 31st and 32nd over, this time also two wickets. Ahmed Raza and Zahoor Khan, both hit the golden duck. In the end, two players Afzal Khan and Hazrat Bilal took the team’s 93 runs to above 170. Afzal Khan remained unbeaten on 54 runs off 63 balls. He also hit 7 fours and 1 six. Besides, Hazrat Bilal remained unbeaten on 20 runs after playing 54 balls. In the end, they scored 176 runs with 20 extra runs.

Kushal bhurtel, Gulsan Jha, and Dipendra Singh took 2 wickets each for Nepal. Apart from this, Sompal Kami and Lalit Rajbanshi took 1 wicket each.

Batting for a target of 177 runs, Nepal lost only 4 wickets and reached the port of victory in 40.1 overs. In the 2nd innings, Arjun Saud left the field first, he scored only 9 runs from 33 balls. After that, they did not get any more wickets until the team scored 146 runs. Because Gyanendra Malla and Aasif Sheikh brought the team’s run so far. Their partnership was broken in the 34th over. After scoring 64 runs off 73 balls with the help of 7 fours and 3 sixes, Gyanendra Malla left the field by the LBW trap. Captain Rohit Paudel scored 10 runs off 16 balls. After that, Dipendra Singh left the field with a golden duck. Aasif Sheikh remained unbeaten on 88 runs off 119 balls. His innings of 88 runs had 1 dozen fours. In the end, they scored 180 runs with 9 extra runs.
