Taskin Ahmed is one of the reliable names of the Bangladesh national team. However, this pacer of Bangladesh lost his rhythm at one time and became disorientated. Dropped from the national team, his career almost sank into obscurity. But after making a comeback from there, he is now one of the most important members of the team. Nasir Hossain, the one-time indispensable all-rounder of Bangladesh, considers Taskin’s comeback as an inspiration for the players who were dropped from the team.
Like Taskin, Nasir was once one of the most trusted names in Bangladesh. But since 2018, where has this all-rounder disappeared? The team’s one-time finisher lost himself in the darkness of failure. He was not seen in the national team after 2018. He did not get a chance in any team in the previous season of BPL. However, in the current season of BPL, he regained his lost rhythm by getting a chance in Dhaka Dominators. He is impressing cricket lovers with his continuous performance. In a recent press conference, he said that he also got the inspiration to return from Taskin.
Nasir Hossain said, “Taskin’s performance in this BPL will definitely inspire. The way he made a comeback in the team after being dropped from the team is a great thing. As he tried hard after being dropped from the national team, I think all cricketers should follow this. If someone works hard, he will get the result even if it is late. The way Taskin worked after being dropped from the team, we should definitely follow him. A great example for us. After being dropped from the team, the hard work he has put in is now paying off. He is performing in the National team, in BPL also doing well by the grace of God. Hopefully, he can maintain this performance. It will benefit the team as well as himself.”
Taskin is playing great for Dhaka in the current season of BPL. This pacer won the team with only 108 runs in the last match. Nasir thinks that Taskin’s mentality of not giving up is why he is ahead. Nasir also said, “Taskin is positive in any situation of the match. No matter the situation he plays in, he never feels that we have come to lose or we will lose. It is a great thing. Taskin always tries to win the team. He gives his best on the field. He tried to give more than a hundred per cent effort to win.”
It is to be noted that Nasir scored 291 runs at an average of 28.20 in 8 matches in the current BPL. Which is the second-highest run in the current season of BPL. Taskin is also doing great with the ball. In the last match, he took 4 wickets for 9 runs to stop Khulna Tigers from 84 runs. This pacer has taken 79 wickets in 57 matches in the last seasons of BPL.
