The Netherlands seemed to win the match very quickly. A target of only 122 runs was in front of them as they came down to bat. The Dutch were moving toward victory with ease. After 59 runs in the opening pair, no one should have doubted that the Netherlands would win.
But the picture of the match changed drastically after the second wicket fell for the team’s 92 runs in the 5th ball of the 14th over. Suddenly, the balance of the match was swinging towards Namibia. 122 runs seemed like a long way for the Netherlands.
In the end, Bas de Leede and Tim Pringle combined to give the Netherlands a narrow victory when the easy match got tough. The Netherlands won with only 3 balls in hand and with that, the Dutch made the way to the Super Twelve easy with the second consecutive victory.
The two openers of the Netherlands came down to bat for a target of 122 runs and they scored 59 runs in 8.2 overs. Max O’Dowd and Vikramjit Singh led the team to a close victory. Max O’Dowd scored 35 runs off 35 balls. Vikramjit Singh scored 39 runs off 31 balls.

After that, two more wickets fell after 101 runs, another went down after 102 runs, and the Netherlands fell into great danger. Tom Cooper was out for 6 runs, Colin Ackermann was out for no runs and captain Scott Edwards was out for just 1 run.
With the Netherlands reeling after 5 for 102, Bas de Leede and Tim Pringle combined to steer the team to victory. De Leede remained unbeaten on 30 runs in 2 boundaries. Tim Pringle scored an unbeaten 8 runs off 9 balls. In the end, the Dutch reached the target of victory in 19.3 overs.
JJ Smit took the maximum number of 2 wickets for Namibia. Besides, Bernard Scholtz and Jan Frylinck took 1 wicket each.
After winning the toss and batting first, Namibia collected 121 runs after losing 6 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. The Namibian batsmen could not play freely even after having wickets on hand. Jan Frylinck, the man of the match of the previous match, scored the highest number of 43 runs for the team. But he played 48 balls to score those 43 runs.
Namibia’s captain Gerhard Erasmus decided to bat after winning the toss today like they won the previous one by batting first. Divan la Cock, the opener, got out at the start of batting. He could not score any run after playing only 2 balls. Michael van Lingen, the other opener, got out after scoring 20 runs off 19 balls.
Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton departed for no runs off 2 balls. Frylinck scored 43 runs at number 5. Captain Erasmus came to bat at number 6. He scored 16 runs off 18 balls. David Wiese remained unbeaten with 11 runs off 5 balls and JJ Smit scored 5 runs off 4 balls.
Bas de Leede took the highest number of 2 wickets for the Dutch. Along with that, he was adjudged Player of the Match for his excellent all-round performance. Besides, Tim Pringle, Colin Ackermann, Paul van Meekeren and Roelof van der Merwe took 1 wicket each.
