Before this year’s West Indies series, cutter master Mustafizur Rahman played his last Test match in February 2021. The opponent was the West Indies. Since then, he has often spoken of his reluctance to play white-jersey cricket.

This time too, Mustafiz has returned to the Test under the pressure of the board. However, there is a lot of discussion in the cricket field about whether this return of Fizz is regular or not. However, Tigers Test captain Shakib Al Hasan did not want to discuss the matter at this time.

The issue of Mustafiz’s playing Test match came up in the press conference. The world’s best all-rounder called for respecting the decision of the cutter master. Shakib said, ”Look, the preferences of each person may be different. There is nothing to inspire anyone here. If Mustafiz wants to play ODIs and T20s even if he prefers, and if that is good for him then I think we should respect that. ”

Shakib, the captain of the Tigers in white, added: “If I think of two matches as a captain, I want to focus on that and I am sure and very motivated to play these two matches. But if you talk about the long range, I don’t know what he has in mind, whether he wants to play Tests or not. I think every cricketer has some different preferences, likes, comfort zone. That should be respected. ”

After almost a year and a half, Fizz is back in the Tests. He is returning to the Tests against the Windies against whom he played for the last time. Despite his reluctance to play red ball cricket, Shakib thinks that since he has joined the series, Fizz will play with full preparation. “Since he’s in this series, I think he’s sure and motivated to play these two matches. And that’s what’s important to us now,” he said.
