Mushfiq to do wicketkeeping to fulfill Shakib’s demand in the Asia Cup?

Mushfiqur made his debut for Team Bangladesh as a wicket-keeper batsman. Although this reliable batsman of Bangladesh has been playing only as a ‘batsman’ in T20 for a long time. However, this wicketkeeper is getting a chance to prove himself in the Asia Cup. Captain Shakib Al Hasan wants to see him keep gloves in the upcoming Asia Cup.

Mushfiqur is considered the most reliable batting pillar in the Bangladesh team. However, sometimes there is a storm of criticism in the country’s cricket about his keeping. Last year, Mushfiqur announced to quit wicketkeeping from the T20 format.

This time Sohan was to do wicketkeeping in the Asia Cup. But Sohan missed the Asia Cup due to a finger injury during the tour to Zimbabwe. And so, Team Bangladesh captain Shakib wants to see the keeping gloves in Mushfiqur’s hands.

Shakib said in a press conference before leaving for the Asia Cup, “If Mushfiq Bhai played the role of wicketkeeping, my job would be much easier. Time is very short in T20. He can change the fielding angles very easily. He doesn’t even need to listen to me. So, my life will become easier. I can think about something else then. I don’t have to worry about fielding all the time. “

Shakib added, “It’s not always possible for me to see all 11 players on the field. Only the wicketkeeper can see it well. Having an experienced player like him naturally makes things easier for me.”

After the retirement of Khaled Masood Pilot, Mushfiqur managed to do wicketkeeping for a long time keeping gloves. He plays the role of a wicketkeeper in ODIs. Let’s see how much he can use the opportunity the keeping gloves in the Asia Cup.
