Having taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series against Australia, India will look to seal the series by registering a win in the second ODI on Sunday, March 19, at Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam. India was all over the Aussies in the first ODI as they bundled them out for 188 and chased down the target in 39.5 overs.

Mitchell Marsh looked in good touch in the Australian innings as he scored 81 off just 65 balls, smashing ten fours and five sixes in his explosive innings. Apart from him, no other batter could cross the 30-run mark for Australia. With the ball, Australia got off to a brilliant start as Mitchell Starc blew away the Indian top order getting rid of Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav.

However, it wasn’t enough to seal a win for Australia as KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja took India home with their unbeaten 108-run stand-off 123 balls. Australia will look to come hard at India in the second ODI to level the series while India will look to seal the series by winning the second game.

IND vs AUS Probable Best Performers

Probable best batter

Virat Kohli:

The star batter was dismissed cheaply in the first innings for just four. However, he has been in sublime form having scored three hundred in the last eight innings. Kohli averages 53 against Australia and will look to once again score big against his favourite opposition. Moreover, he averages 111.20 in Visakhapatnam with three hundred to his name in six matches.

Probable best bowler

Mohammed Shami:

The speedster wreaked havoc with his three-over spell in the middle overs in the first ODI as he picked three wickets to destroy Australia’s lower order. Shami will once again pose a threat to the Aussies in the second ODI and look to bundle them out cheaply again.
