After absolutely decimating Ireland in the three-match ODI series, Bangladesh will now host the Andy Balbirnie-led side for a three-match T20I series, starting March 27, at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, in Chattogram. Meanwhile, the Irish side will look forward to making a comeback but it is not going to be an easy task for them.
In the ODI series, it was seen that the Irish side was facing difficulties in coping with the conditions. Since they don’t have enough experience playing in spin-friendly tracks, they suffered to get going with the bat. On the other hand, bowlers too looked pale and thus, there are a lot of areas that the team needs to address ahead of the first T20I.
Bangladesh meanwhile will be confident of their chances. They recently defeated the world champions England 3-0 in the shortest format and on top of that, many of their cricketers are in splendid form at the moment. Thus, there’s not much to worry about for the Shakib Al Hasan-led side.

BAN vs IRE Probable Best Performers
Probable best batter
Litton Das:
Stumper-batter Litton Das hit a magnificent half-century in the third ODI and thus, is in a good form at the moment. Now, ahead of flying to India for playing in the Indian Premier League, Litton will try to establish his authority in the middle in order to finalize his place in KKR’s playing XI.
Probable best bowler
Shakib Al Hasan:
Since the pitch will favour the spinners, veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is likely to cause havoc in the middle. He was extremely successful with the ball in the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League and one can expect a similar performance from him in the first T20I against Ireland.
