Lobbying to return to the national team, Sabbir denied

Sabbir Rahman returned to the national team after almost three years with the Asia Cup a few days ago. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in search of a power hitter called Sabbir for T20 World Cup as well. But in the meantime, he has been dropped due to continuous failure. The question arises, why is Sabbir in the national team without any significant performance? What is the process of entering the national team?

After returning to the national team, Sabbir scored 31 runs from 4 matches. On the one hand, there is no run with the bat. Meanwhile, the right-handed batsman has come under criticism from the audience due to being active on social media like TikTok. This cricketer got the title of ‘Tiktokar Sabbir’ by the netizens. This discussion has taken a new turn.

Recently, a report of a daily newspaper of the country alleged that Sabbir returned to the national team after lobbying the board officials. It is claimed in that report that after the last Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Sabbir approached a board official to return to the national team. Even at one stage, he won the heart of the board owner by crying. That opened the door to the national team.

Meanwhile, Sabbir dismissed all the allegations against him. The cricketer even expressed anger at the nasty comments about his personal life. Besides, Sabbir has also requested the media workers not to report on his personal life. Sabbir said he would return to the national team by lobbying and taking legal action for the news.

Coming live from his official Facebook page on Monday, Sabbir said, ”I am a professional cricketer. I have a personal life. I don’t see anything to report about it. I didn’t do anything wrong with Tiktok. I hope journalist brothers will refrain from these. I was dropped for non-performance. I am not happy about that.”

He also said, ”I hope whoever plays in my place, they will perform well. The news has been circulated that I have joined the team by talking to the management of BCB. I wouldn’t have got the call if I didn’t perform. If I lobbied, I would have received a call three years earlier. I will take proper action (against the news) in this regard.”

But now it is to be seen, what measures Sabbir finally took. However, the media claims, there is enough evidence against Sabbir about lobbying the board chief. Now the biggest question in the cricket world is Sabbir able to prove the accusation against himself ‘wrong’?
