After the first match of the ODI series between South Africa and the West Indies was abandoned due to rain, the second game saw the visitors clinch victory after a fabulous performance with both the bat and the ball.
After being handed a loss, more bad news has followed the Proteas as skipper Temba Bavuma is experiencing hamstring discomfort, due to which he will miss the third ODI between both teams. Bavuma’s loss could prove to be a key factor as far as the Proteas’ form is concerned.
After it was confirmed that Bavuma would be missing the third ODI, it was announced that Aiden Markram will be leading the side in the final game of the series. The hosts will look to level the series under Markram’s leadership, and as the proceedings for the third ODI get underway, South Africa will look to chase as they have elected to bowl first.
