India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant sustained some serious injuries in a near-fatal car accident at the end of 2022.  The star wicketkeeper-batsman is currently under rehabilitation after getting discharged from hospital. Although he was earlier ruled out of the upcoming IPL where he was supposed to captain Delhi Capitals (DC), Pant has been on an upward graph as far as his progress is concerned. The player has been frequently sharing his health updates on his official social media handles to keep his fans informed of his recovery status.

On Wednesday, March 15, Pant shared a glimpse of his health regime on social media. He shared a video on Instagram, in which he could be seen walking in a swimming pool as a part of his recovery process.

“Grateful for small thing, big things And everything in between,” he captioned the post.

Thank you to the @BCCI , @JayShah & government authorities for their incredible support,” Pant wrote on Twitter.

“From the bottom of my heart, I also would like to thank all my fans, teammates, doctors and the physios for your kind words and encouragement. Looking forward to see you all on the field,” Pant had further written.

Pant ruled out of IPL 2023 season

Rishabh Pant suffered serious injuries when his car collided with a road divider and caught fire on the Delhi-Dehradun highway on December 30, 2022. The car accident happened between Manglaur and Narsan in the Haridwar district in Uttarakhand as he was driving from Delhi to his hometown Roorkee.

The Indian international cricketer suffered two cuts on his forehead, and a ligament tear in his right knee, ankle, toe, and back. Following the injury, he was ruled out of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which recently concluded on March 13, and has also been deemed unfit for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season.

In his absence, Delhi Capitals will now be led by veteran Australian batter David Warner. Capitals will play their first match against Lucknow Super Giants on April 1. The two teams will meet at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium.
