Karachi Kings president, Wasim Akram was spotted kicking a sofa, which was kept right in front of him after his team lost to Multan Sultans by just three runs ( in match 11) in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL). Notably, it was Imad Wasim-led side’s fourth defeat in five matches and interestingly they have conceded three while chasing. Thus, the president was seen fuming as soon as the game got over.

Meanwhile, the moment was captured on live television and instantly went viral across various social media platforms.

Mohammad Rizwan shines as Multan registers their fourth win

Courtesy of a phenomenal start by their openers Mohammad Rizwan and Shan Masood, Multan Sultans were always in the driver’s seat. Even though skipper Rizwan was unable to display his aggressive batting exploits in the initial overs of the match, he changed his gears in the second half of the first innings and ended up scoring 110* off just 64 deliveries.

Meanwhile, his opening partner Shan Masood scored 51, on the other hand, Rilee Rossouw scored 29 off 21 deliveries while batting at number three. In the end, Multan Sultans posted 196 runs on board after 20 overs but despite that, they couldn’t find it easy defending the total.

Karachi Kings in the second innings came hard at the Sultans bowlers. Opener James Vince was sensational, scoring 75 off just 34 deliveries but after his dismissal, no one could match the same intensity during the chase. Skipper Imad Wasim tried his best, scoring 46* off 26 but couldn’t help Karachi win their second match of the season.

In the post-match presentation, Sultans skipper Rizwan was announced the Player of the Match and in the interaction, he gave all the credit to his bowlers as the 30-year-old felt that they were eventually 10-15 runs short in the match.

“We had to give credit to our bowlers because we felt we were short by 10-15 runs and they all worked well in unison. Hopefully, we will carry this momentum forward,” said Rizwan.
