England’s Rehan Ahmed scripted history as he attained an impressive milestone  during the ongoing series against Bangladesh. Jos Buttler-led England locked horns with the hosts in the third and final ODI contest at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

Leading into the contest, England announced the inclusion of young Rehan in the playing XI ahead of the final 50-over clash. This essentially meant that Rehan became England’s youngest debutant in ODIs.

He received his maiden ODI cap from veteran leggie Adil Rashid, at the age of 18 years and 205 days. Rehan surpassed the record held by Ben Hollioake, who was 19 years and 195 days at the time of his debut.
