England star opener Jason Roy shared his experience of playing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). According to him, going to play PSL is quite strange. Roy even faced a mental problem.
Roy did not have a bad time in PSL. He played 6 matches for Quetta Gladiators. Roy scored 303 runs at an average of 50.5. The strike rate was also quite devastating, 170.22. However, Roy himself admitted that he was mentally broken even though he had a good time with the bat.
In an interview, the English cricketer said, ”I was not in the right mood in the PSL. I was in a very strange position. I was playing well but I could not enjoy the game. I was relieved after coming back home. I thought I was back to normal life. ”
Roy was exhausted after being in a continuous biosecurity zone. That’s why he thinks it happened. “I was out of the house for many months,” Roy said. ”Had to stay in the hotel in the biosecurity zone for 50 days. I had my baby in January. It is very difficult to stay away from him,” he added.
Roy did not play in IPL due to that fatigue. The Gujarat Titans, a newcomer to the tournament, picked him from the auction. “I couldn’t play in the IPL because I wanted to stay at home. After coming back home, my mind, body, and everything was refreshed. I can find love in playing again,” Roy said.
