Shahid Khan Afridi is a Pakistani former cricketer and captain of the Pakistan national cricket team.

A few days ago, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the country’s top governing body for cricket, announced the organisation of the Pakistan Junior League. The board has already started work to organise the tournament, and they are currently calling for a franchise as part of that. Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has expressed interest in buying a team in the junior league there.

Afridi wants to work with young Pakistani cricketers, and that is why he decided to invest in the Pakistani junior cricketers. The former Pakistan star cricketer thinks that playing in this league will enhance the skills of junior cricketers, and they will also be benefited economically.

Expressing his interest in buying the franchise, Afridi said: “I have plans to buy an under-19 team because the youngsters will be benefited. It will benefit them both economically and from experienced cricketers.

Afridi is keen to share his experience with the junior cricketers of the Under-19 team. He also spoke about the importance of coaching in junior cricket. He said, ”I have talked to some of my friends about this. As part of the Under-19 PSL, I am eager to share my experience with the youth. I’d be delighted to share my experiences with the younger generation. I strongly believe that coaching should be done at junior level. Because the senior team only needs man-management. ”

The junior league will be inaugurated on October 1. Although the whole schedule has yet to be released, the event is expected to last through October 15. The competition will feature six teams and 19 matches in its debut season. The PCB will organise this league mainly to enhance the skills of young cricketers of Pakistan. Since the tender for the team, 24 organisations have already expressed interest in joining the Pakistan Junior League, which is also the name of Shahid Afridi’s franchise.
