GT vs SRH Match Highlights
On Tuesday, in the 40th match of IPL 2022, courtesy of impeccable performance and chasing a high score at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium Gujarat Titans (GT) has picked up a victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 5 wickets. At the same time, after winning this match, GT got its 4rth consecutive victory.
After winning the toss, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya decided to bowl and invited Sunrisers Hyderabad to bat. Hyderabad was in danger of losing Williamson’s wicket early in the innings. He made only 5 runs off 8 balls. After that Rahul Tripathi made only 16 runs.

Mohammad Shami took 3 wickets for 39 runs in 4 overs for Gujarat. On the other hand, Yash Dayal and Alzarri Joseph took 1 wicket each with 24 and 35 runs.
The goal for the win was to chase a huge score of 196 runs. Wriddhiman Saha scored the highest run 68 off 38 balls. Shubhaman brought 22 runs off 24 balls. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya couldn’t make much advantage, he returned to the dressing room with only 10 runs off 6 balls. Miller made 17 runs off 19 balls.
GT still needed a lot of runs to win. But Tewatia and Rashid Khan did the impossible. Rahul Tewatia hit a six off the first ball. With a single run in the second ball, he gave the strike to Rashid Khan. The Afghan leg-spinner turned into an astonishing batsman on strike. He hit a six off the third ball. After missing the fourth ball, he hit another six on the fifth ball. 19 runs came up with 5 balls. 3 runs are needed in the last ball. Rashid Khan hit a six off the last ball of the innings to lead the team to victory. Rashid was unbeaten on 31 off 11 balls and Rahul Tewatia was unbeaten on 40 off 21 balls.
However, despite losing, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s young fast bowler Umran Malik won the match best award with 5 wickets for 25 runs in 4 overs.
Gujarat Titans are at the 1st position in the points table with seven wins and one loss in eight matches. On the other hand, with 5 wins and 3 losses in eight matches, Sunrisers Hyderabad is now in the 3rd position of the standings.
