Naeem was called up for this series as Miraz dropped out due to an injury. At the first opportunity, Naeem proved that the fight to get a place in the team would be fierce this time. He also gave credit to Miraz at the press conference at the end of the second day in Chattogram.

Naeem said, ”Actually giving opportunities is a matter of team management. If given a chance, performance is my responsibility. If they allow me a chance, I have to prove myself 100% and play well. Whether the team management will let me play or not is their decision. ”
