Du Plessis: I want to give my best in the South African league

Now it’s an era of T20. In addition to international T20 cricket, there are franchise leagues in different countries. Entertainment peddlers play in these leagues as entertainment peddlers. In a short period of time, the audience can enjoy matches full of tension and T20 cricket is also profitable from a commercial point of view.

The franchise owner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Chennai Super Kings has bought a team in South Africa’s Twenty20 League, although it has been limited to India so far. Cricketers like Faf du Plessis, Moeen Ali, and Maheesh Theeksana will play in their team in Johannesburg. Du Plessis was once a homeboy of Chennai. Last season, however, changed teams and played in Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Meanwhile, du Plessis is very excited to return to the Johannesburg team. In an interview he said, “I want to give my best wherever I play. I gave my best while playing in the national team. I gave my best in the IPL. Now I want to give my hundred percent in the South African league as well”.

Meanwhile, the owners are also happy to have Du Plessis on the team. Reminiscing about the past, Chennai Super Kings CEO KS Viswanathan said, ”Du Plessis was an important member of the Chennai team for 10 years in the IPL. Scored consecutive runs for our team. Couldn’t take him in IPL. I was looking for that opportunity in the T20 league in South Africa. We are happy to have him on the Super Kings team. ”

This franchise-based T20 league will start in January next year. The South African Cricket Board is going to start this tournament to move ahead with other countries in the current T20 era. They even canceled the tour of Australia to give the cricketers an opportunity in the domestic league.

Stars like Graeme Smith are in charge of this league in South Africa. Many are expecting that this league will be completed successfully. Let’s see how much light Du Plessis can spread.
