In Durban’s Kingsmead, the hosts South Africa were bowled out for just 204 runs in the second innings by Bangladesh. The Tigers got a target of 274 runs as a result. But the visitors were in danger from the beginning to chase that goal. Opener Shadman Islam, who got a chance in the absence of Tamim Iqbal, returned to the dressing room with 4 runs.

On the other hand, Mahmudul Hasan Joy (4), who scored a fantastic century in the first innings, returned to the pavilion after being bowled by Keshav Maharaj. Captain Mominul Haque’s poor form continued, and he was dismissed for 2 runs. As a result, Bangladesh finished the 4th day with 11 runs for 3 wickets in 6 overs. Najmul Hossain Shanto (5) and Mushfiqur Rahim (0) are unbeaten.

On the fourth day, South Africa started their second innings with a lead of 75 runs. After 48 runs in the opening pair, Ebadot Hossain sent off Sarel Erwee, who scored 8 off 51 balls. Then captain Dean Elgar picked up his fifty off 73 balls. But Taskin Ahmed broke the 68-run stand for the second wicket by returning Elgar (64) to the pavilion.

Mehidy Hasan hit the third blow at Protea Fort. Mahmudul caught Keegan Petersen (36) in Mehidy’s spin magic while the team total was 126 runs. The Proteas then quickly started to lose wickets. Temba Bavuma (4), Kyle Verreynne (6), Wiaan Mulder (11), and Keshav (5) returned to the dressing room. Simon Harmer (11) and Lizaad Williams (0) quickly returned to the pavilion with Nurul Hasan’s great throw. Mehidy and Ebadot took 3 wickets each for Bangladesh. Taskin also took 2 wickets.
